파워 유저들에게 최적화된 VMware Workstation 은 하나의 PC 상에서 완벽한 네트워크를 지원하며, 이식성있는 가상 머신을 통해 Microsoft Windows, Linux, Novell NetWare 등을 포함한 여러개의 운영체제들을 동시에 사용할 수 있게 해줍니다.
VMware Workstation 은 현재 시중에 출시된 다른 어떤 가상머신 소프트웨어들 보다 강력한 기능성, 뛰어난 유연성, 더욱 다양해진 선택권을 제공해 줍니다.
우분투 리눅스에서 설치 방법은 터미널에서 sudo sh VMware-Workstation-Full-7.1.2-301548.i386 입력후 엔터하시면 됩니다.
주요기능
스냅샷 기능: VMware Workstation은 운영 시스템의 상황을 시간별로 복사 저장할 수 있으며 스냅샷을 지정한 시점으로 복원 기능을 지원합니다.
가상머신 탭: 빠른 변환 모드를 지원하여, 간단한 마우스 클릭으로 가상머신들 사이를 이동하며 작업 할 수 있습니다.
각자의 CPU 지원 가능: 2개 이상의 CPU가 있는 시스템에서 Guest System을 사용할 CPU를 지정 할 수 있습니다.
다양한 가상 PC 파일을 불러와 사용 가능: 지원하는 가상 PC 파일은 VMware Workstation Files (*.vmx, *.vmtm), VMware Configuration Files (*.vmx), VMware Team Files (*.vmtm), VMware ACE Master Files (*.vmxa), VMware ACE Hot Fix Files (*.vmhr, *.vmhf), Microsoft Virtual PC/Virtual Server Files (*.vmc), Symantec Backup Exec Files (*.sv2i), StorageCraft ShadowProtect Files (*.spf), Acronis True Image Files (*.tib), Open Virtual Machine Format Images (*.ovf, *.ova) 입니다.
Linux 사용자를 위한 인터페이스: Linux 사용자들을 위한 인터페이스가 완전히 새롭게 업그레이드되어, Windows 버전의 VMware Workstation과 동일한 인터페이스를 제공합니다.
개선사항
- Added Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 support for Integrated Virtual Debugger´s live debugging mode.
- Addressed issues that occur when running Windows 7 SP1 Beta, RHEL 6.0 Beta, and Fedora 13 in a virtual machine. Each of these operating system versions are in the development phase. They have known issues and are not fully supported in this release.
- NAT networking includes several performance improvements.
- VMware Workstation 7.1.2 has been tested with the new free standalone VMware vCenter Converter 4.3. VMware vCenter Converter allows you to convert a single machine or an entire datacenter into virtual machines and supports Windows 7. - Easy Install now supports older versions of the CentOS operating system.
- Added Windows 2008R2 and Apache Server 2.2.15 support for ACE Management Server.
